...In this workshop participants called to create something that they could keep as a Festival souvenir (like a postcard). Folk proverbs are part of Cypriot identity; they reveal experiences which the ancestors lived once. We say that proverbs are inevitably “passed down from generation to generation.” Yet, what is the best way to preserve a proverb? To print it on a piece of paper that they where ask to made theirselfes ! In this workshop participants made their own handmade paper and stories out of proverbs that can lead them closer to the Cypriot tradition.
