This project is a collection of drawings and illustrations I do for myself. All in the name of bettering my artistic and technical abilities. Enjoy and keep in mind that this project should be considered a constant work in progress. I have ordered the pieces newest to oldest.
This is an example of one of my practice runs of digital painting. I learned a good bit during this practice session.
This drawing is someplace I have always wanted to go, Stonehenge. I really wanted to experiment with drawing clouds with ink in this drawing. Admittedly, I still am working on a good technique for clouds in ink.
This drawing is based on a fantasy story I wrote about a monastery that had fallen under attack. This is from the viewpoint of the heroes in the story.
This drawing is of my four best friends and I. I chose to do cooler colors for the clothing and background so the skin tones would contrast more.
These lovebirds were so much fun to draw. To make sure they were as vibrant as possible I used harder colored pencils for the colors base and then I went over that with softer waxier colored pencils.
