QUEST. linking curiosity

Access to global knowledge is given for granted in this time. However, there are some challenges inherent to the way in which people is exposed to this knowledge. When assuming Learning as a long-life process, it is necessary to understand that most of the cognitive exploration through the Collective Intelligence will be self-managed.
Being exposed to a wide set of topics is an essential need to be competitive in a job market demanding multidisciplinary skills from its members. But gathering different pieces of knowledge is just the first stage. Linking information is an intrinsic part of the learning process and a remarkable skill of the human intelligence.
People who are able to “connect the dots” are forward thinkers, innovators, and leaders.  They have a unique ability to see the forest from the trees while simultaneously seeing the small details that may be more relevant to the big picture.  Dot connectors are tuned in to key pieces of information and they understand the importance of how it relates to other, often seemingly unrelated, information.
Those who “connect the dots” make a logical or implied connection between facts or disparate pieces of information in order to arrive to a solution or conclusion.

This is the baseline for the proposition of radically merged systems of human and artificial intelligence that may guide individual or collective Curiosity in the process of cognitive development. For that, the mental processes that individuals have made may became the sources of curiosity for others, who can start new paths.
Today’s classroom teachers need to be prepared to provide technology-supported learning opportunities for their students. Being prepared to use technology and knowing how that technology can support student learning have become integral skills in every teacher’s professional repertoire. Teachers need to be prepared to empower students with the advantages technology can bring. Schools and classrooms, both real and virtual, must have teachers who are equipped with technology resources and skills and who can effectively teach the necessary subject matter content while incorporating technology concepts and skills. Interactive computer simulations, digital and open educational resources, and sophisticated data-gathering and analysis tools are only a few of the resources that enable teachers to provide previously unimaginable opportunities for conceptual understanding.
The Curiosity Tutor is a professional with skills in pedagogy and ITC’s that can lead students to understand how they can link knowledge, embrace complexity and improve their cognitive development by following their own interests.

Quest is a platform to share knowledge. Dedicated to students and curios people, it links your online research process and makes it available for other users to share, analyze and learn.

This platform may become a place for professors and researchers to share about their mental processes of discovery. People can navigate through the complexity of collective intelligence in a guided way, but still encouraging curiosity. At the end, it is the final user who choose how to explore and make sense of the provided stimulus.
In order to create a path of knowledge, the user could select pieces of information from a website and put them in order inside his or her path. Between the different pieces, the creator will add questions that will work also as indexing elements for external users.
