Lifetouch publication is monthly magazine,produced by LifeTouch, one of the program sections of MARIBOR 2012 - EUROPEAN CAPITALOF CULTURE.
I was chosen to create the visual identity ofthe magazine, which presents novelties, presentation, and reportages from the most important MARIBOR 2012 – The European Capital of Culture events and interviews with key personalities, creators, and other guests from abroad. “LifeTouch” monthly brings also the best contributions from the Perspectives and reflections programme strand, where the most prominent names (journalists, novelist, essayist, philosophers, sociologists, etc) from Slovenia, the wider region, and Europe publish their thoughts.
I wanted to make the magazine highly readableand esteticly enjoyable.
One of the criteria that I was sticking to was to choose as many slovenian elements as possible. I choosed a really great and internationally renowned type Tisa, made by Slovenian typographer Mitja Miklavčič.
Which is combined with Titillium, anopensource font made by students of Accademia di Belle Arti di Urbino, Italia. Paper that we selected is fully recycled stock VIPRINT by Slovenian company Videm Krško. A little greyish stock with a fine touch.
