This was a side project I had worked on during 2015 and finished in 2016. I had nearly completed it by the end of the year, but I didn't want to publish it until the right season again. So I waited until early summer of 2016, added and finished elements not previously there, and released it.

The illustration features a video game character, Princess Peach, of Nintendo's Mario series.

I tried to fit as many mario elements as possible, while still making sure it fit the garden like theme.

There are naturally growing mushrooms: including the standard sizing red mushrooms, the green life mushrooms, and the purple poison mushrooms. The bushes and grass feature both the red and blue flowers: the fire and ice flowers. The turnips within the garden box are a throw back to Super Mario Bros 2, as you could pluck and throw turnips in the game. There are also potted piranha plants, all three possible to find in game: including the sleeping one in Super Mario 64.The background itself is a combination of different scenery found throughout the games.
