The brief was to design a set that changes with the change in moods in the play. The play is set in a living room. The play had no intermission hence the change needed to appear without a curtain close. Also the play was to be staged at various locations across the country and hence needed to be designed accordingly.
The play starts off as an evening of mature conversation between two couples and ends up in a juvenile quarrel between the parents.The set is thus, orderly on the surface and the change in lighting exposes the chaos brewing below the orderly exterior.
