The imagery on this screenprinted poster is a pencil with two erasers, and thus no point. This piece is inspired by my own spiritual journey. As I've asked others about their experiences, I have discovered that many people have been left disappointed with religion. However, as I've explored God, I have found that he is the most disappointed with religion. Isaiah 29:13 says, "They honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me. Their worship of me is made up only of rules taught by men."  He doesn't want our rituals and so-called self righteousness. He wants us. Ourselves. Just as we are. Romans says "The wages of sin is death." As in a court case, somebody's got to take the hit for our sin. The good news? He's already taken the hit, out of his crazy cosmic unbelievable love for us. He desires deep relationship with us, and to try to earn our way to him by rituals is pointless. Best thing we can do for ourselves and others is let him have us.
