Bon Appetite magazine required illustrations to be includedas in their 2012 gift calendar, which will contain culinary inspired imagery.The theme for February was ‘Shell We Dance’ and my concept was to illustrate shell fish (shrimp) doing the tango. I call it the 'Shrimp Tango.' I wanted to give the shrimp lots of character, so the male shrimp is very serious and the lady shrimp is having the time of her life as she is dipped while they dance. I incorporated the glitter texture in her dress for visual interest.
