Client: Victoria & Albert Museum
The museum has a new exhibit titled ‘Decorative Disguise’. Theconcept behind my illustration was to illustrate how people tend to want toblend into the surroundings or culture they are in. Choosing a European womanand placing her in African culture would create not only visual contrast butalso cultural contrast. She is seen dressed as a Africa woman with her skintone, hair and eye color emphasized to show that she is in a ‘decorative disguise’.
