Keith and The Girl (KATG) is an award winning podcast with over 50,000 listeners and in excess of 1 million downloads a month. The show discusses current events in humorous and unrestrained fashion. As described by the hosts Keith and Chemda themselves in the show's tagline, "Keith and his ex-girlfriend talk shit".
I worked with the KATG community to produce an open source iPhone and Android app to allow users to stream the live shows on the go. I crafted the UI and interaction design in consultation with the lead developer and contributed ideas to the final feature set.
The Live view allowed listeners to tune into live broadcasts, and interact with the show by using the feedback form or by calling in. It also provides information on the current and next shows scheduled as well as the guests that will be on.
The Calendar view gives users a comprehensive list of upcoming and past events, scheduled broadcasts, and other significant dates to the show.

Archives provides access to the podcasts vast catalog of audio and video content. Each episode comes with show notes and photos attached, and are both displayed in the player.
Integration of their social media efforts into the app's Twitter view with access to the hosts twitter streams and the podcasts hashtag used by their audience.
The More view was a collection of outbound resources and app settings. This allowed the podcast to drive sales and donations through their mobile offerings.

Notices at the bottom of the screen display when the show is broadcasting live, or when it will be.
