With brief focus on recycling, initial interest for project was to design a property with a unique interest and recycling shipping containers was chosen. Shipping containers provide a structure due to nature of their use which leads to a structural sound structure without any labour. 

With use of shipping containers, research began to develop understand how to adapt the containers to a housing environment, this varied from: removal of panels for opening impacting structural integrity; connection of abutment of containers, plausibility and feasibility of container used for homes; ensuring shipping containers can achieve building regulations which was an interesting experience.
