Neiman Marcus POC

Neiman Marcus, a luxury retailer, are always looking to deliver premium experiences for their customers. To that end they have been working with startup Memomi to bring their Memory Mirror® into a number of Neiman Marcus stores. The Adobe@Adobe team collaborated with Memomi to bring new functionality to the Memory Mirror® using the Adobe Marketing Cloud. This collaboration resulted in a proof of concept for Neiman Marcus that will bring that new functionality and an updated look and feel.
A premium digital experience needs to integrate in store merchandise recommendations combined with the high touch from sales associates. We built this new experience to make the digital and analog experiences feel seamless and natural.
One challenge brands have with in store technology is care and maintenance. We built this experience leveraging our proof of concept work for the Adobe Store. It uses Adobe Experience Manger (AEM) to show brands how quick and easy it is to update the experience. Neiman Marcus doesn't need to hire a developer to change the experience. If they want to change the text on the mirror or the remote control tablet they just open AEM and edit the text and save. The content is immediately pushed out to the mirrors. And if they deploy them at scale AEM can manage that footprint centrally.

In addition since we are using the Adobe Marketing Cloud we can begin to deliver recommendations based on what the customer is wearing. Using Adobe Target we are able to deliver categories of recommended apparel based on what it sees in the mirror. This helps brands connect the breadth of merchandise they have on hand to the consumer. For the sales associate, it allows them to gain insight into customer preferences to ensure they are able to deliver an exceptional experience.
