MCK WISSEN MAGAZINE
Art Direction
This german magazine was inspired by the internet. Format and layout are still quite unusual. Its content flows over every double page like scrolling down a very long website. Due to the lack of budget for pictures or illustrators we often worked with handmade of found materials done by us or even shot in low quality by the authors itself. This way it felt like a fast first hand field report.

The magazine itself was developed quarterly for McKinsey&Company, one of the largest consulting agencies worldwide. Every issue bundled all the actual knowledge of the company under one monothematic theme like inspiration, quality, education, risk or even logistics.

As an Art Director i developed 10 issues of McK Wissen in between 2004 and 2007. Together with the Art Director Katja Fössel (working for Mike Meiré) we had a lot of fun creating layouts for such an unusual print format.

The production of McK Wissen stopped after its 20th issue but you can still order or download every issue/article here: http://www.wissen.brandeins.de/periodika/mck-wissen.html
