University of Essex Summer School
Essex Summer School in Social Science Data Analysis University of Essex. The University of Essex is a British public research university whose first and largest campus is near the town of Colchester, Essex. It was established in 1963 and received its Royal Charter in 1965. 'A new kind of university… where students could live and learn… and research really mattered' – this was the founding vision of Essex’s first Vice-Chancellor Sir Albert Sloman. What Essex Summer School do: Teaching specialized, but widely applicable skills in the broad area of data analysis, with a special emphasis on the social sciences.
We were approached to develop an impactful logo design and branding for the Essex Summer School. Top two things to communicate through new logo: Expertise in data analysis. Experience – the Summer School has been around for almost 50 years.
Our designers worked closely with Essex Summer School team to find an aesthetic they liked that would appeal to their target audience - Doctoral and Masters students as well as postdoctoral students and their supervisors, Researchers, Universities and university departments.
