SHORT FICTION FILM: Mami's Memories
ROLE: Story, Script, Screenplay, Direction, Art Direction, Art

I  got selected as one of the 22 from the city of Chennai, to participate in  the Chennai Talent Campus and got an opportunity, through Cord Studios (who produced my film) and South Asian Film Chamber to make a short film.

I decided to make a film-‘Mami’s memories’- based on a short story I had written around eight years ago. The story is part of a series set in a fictitious South Indian town named Illundavoor, where harmony is a way of life.  The film describes an event in the life of two characters- Janaki Mami and Nasreen Gopal.

Apart from the story, I directed, wrote the screenplay and dialogues, designed the set and created the art work for the titles.

This short film was selected to get screened in the 4th Chennai International Film Festival.

JOYRIDE: A travel documentary on Cumbum
(Post-Production phase)

Joyride is a travel documentary film that was born out of childhood memories of the town of Cumbum in Tamil Nadu, India. I revisited the place in search of the past, to make peace with my maternal grandfather's death and to find some meaning in my life through a film. Burning matchsticks with magnifying glasses, playing cards, searching for memories in our childhood home and meeting a namesake, the film tries to capture a trip to the once-sleepy town and the feelings it evoked.

The film is currently in its editing stage. Given below are snapshots from the film.
