Submissions for AIGA’s Get Out the Vote poster campaign. The importance of voter participation is highlighted in quotes from major figures, and this is contrasted with graphical treatments in their counterparts in the series. My goal, here, is to provide a concise message in a compelling way.

 

For the quote posters, I employed strong color contrast and typography to emphasize the message, which is capped with a call to action and civic duty. Colors are taken from yellow/black, the highest visual contrast, as well as to stand out from the traditional red/white/blue colors often seen around election time. 

 

For the graphical posters, I did reference the USA’s red/white/blue color scheme, but did it in a different way to draw attention. Simple imagery is employed to grab the audience’s attention, while at the same time not detract from the message.

 

Civic participation is a vital element of a democracy, and I hope this poster series provides a message that resonates.
