The annual Redbud Festival is Denton's celebration of Arbor Day. It promotes and encourages environmental awareness as well as community involvement through the selling of plants and locally crafted items, and the hosting of events and workshops held to educate the public in matters of pollution, conservation of energy, and proper plant care.  

Each festival, Scrap collaborates with fashion design students to create a collection made almost entirely of recycled and repurposed materials. These garments are then modeled at the festival's Trashion Fashion show.
