Jim Lambie is Buried Under My Patio
The destruction of something beautiful
This is a drawing installation inspired initially by the artist Jim Lambie. It took ten hours and a phenomenal amount of chalk to creat the design. It is merely highlighting the pattern that already existed in the tiling on my driveway. It is coupled with a poem about the destruction of beautiful things. The pattern always existed, but it is driven over and walked on and never noticed. The remainder of the photos document the destruction of the pattern and how cars, feet and weather remove the pattern.
