Cat's in the Cradle
The text-free frames below were created for a storyboard illustration assignment, essentially as a narrative for an animated film. Having always adored the rhythm, tune, and lyrics of "Cat's in the Cradle," I chose to illustrate the song, hoping to portray its very essential life lessons. Though I have uploaded solely the isolated frames, I chose to present this storyboard illustration in the "Little Golden Books" format - hardcover bound with a gold foil strip lining the binding. I felt that this presentation matched the lesson-telling, moral, and educational feel of "Cat's in the Cradle," as well as its sophisticated storyline that pleases adults and children alike. As per the illustration, my sole medium was Illustrator, and the style is meant to be realistic and not generation-specific.
