Hides bar design focuses on sound and vision, as it caters to the hearing impaired. The inspiration for its design comes from this issue, the concept really plays on the fact that for hearing impaired people, music is in some way hidden and it is up to us to help them reimagine sound and to re-create the experience of sound and vision with in a commercial environment. 

 

Hide bar aimes to create a desirable and attractive environment with a combination of successful acoustic design and visual aspects, along with a textured layered environment with contrasting materials. It has drawn inspiration from industrial, re-used elements and materials which create an ideal complimentary canvas for its projection of sound imagery.

 

The exterior of the Hide uses building mapping as a method of wayfinding and also a way to play on the hidden bar theme as it is inconspicuous by day and transformed by night.
