How do you convince those who know you best that you’ve got a new identity? Netflix partnered with Your Majesty to create an online experience to showcase its new positioning to employees and partners around the world.

After gathering valuable input from the Netflix team and stakeholders in a week-long workshop, we set out to build an experiential, multi-regional brand platform that could both inspire and act as a tool for employees and global partners. Our goals were to help them understand the new brand and to ensure consistent communication across all markets.

Using elements from the company’s refreshed on-air branding and localized Netflix content, we brought the new positioning to life by explaining it from the perspective of a screen. To add variety and longevity, random content appears, so the experience is different on each visit. The website was crafted with HTML, WebGL and Angular and used consistent parallax transitions.

We also created “Playline,” an interactive playlist consisting of images, videos and social content that can dynamically show how different pieces of media match up with brand attributes. To keep the experience fresh and up-to-date as the brand evolves, we built a modular system and provided a custom-made CMS, so Netflix could add and update content.
