PAVILLION ISRAELE - GIARDINI / VENISE

For this project my class and I spent an entire  week at the Venice Giardini taking measures of the sites and pavilions that each of us had been attributed on a random basis. We had been asked to create an extension of the existing buildings in order to set up accommodations. The latter were due to be used by the artists working on the Biennale exhibition. The main project’s aim was to better meet the needs of the two periods that characterize the Biennale: while the exhibition being installed, it was necessary to partition the working and the living space, before re-clustering them when the space was opened to the public.
On the Israeli Pavilion, I worked on the relation between inside and outside, on the degree of intimacy that people had,  depending on what period we were in. This project follows the intention of a pathway, a process developed in the a previous project from Peter Greenaway's work.
