Williamsburg has become the hipster capital but it is also historically the biggest Hasidic community in America. Both sides aren't too fond of each other. The Hasidics don't like the hipsters' "inappropriate" fashion choices. The hipsters resent the Hasidics for getting rid of bike lanes in the neighborhood. However, they continue to coexist; hipsters in the north and the Hasidics in the south. I wanted to bring the two opposites together and brand the neighborhood with characteristics from both cultural enclaves.
