Created for my personal use. Mandalay is formed of two best friends addicted to travel, that share a passion for buying locally made and handcrafted gifts from Asia, then selling them to friends in Dubai.
The treasures bought on our travels range from handmade scarves, textiles, silver jewellery, trinkets and anything skilfully handmade they know others will find as desirable as they do.
The name Mandalay comes from a beautiful place in Myanmar/Burma and we both felt it aptly represented our love and passion for the region.
The butterflies represent the two friends (Jane and myself). The tagline ‘Treasures from cherished travels’ describe exactly what the gifts mean to us, and the fun Jane and I have finding them.
