Client approached us on a short notice to design and print advertisement posters and banners for their 2012 V-Day events: V-Men and Vagina Monologues. Due to the short deadline and my workload at Student Center Graphics, my co-worker Melissa Malfroid (@MelissaMalfroid) created the banners and posters designs based on my concept, sketches, and photography. Although I did create the design for the Vagina Monologues tickets.
Due to our workload and the short deadline, I decided to use a simple design heavy on symbolism, both on the photographs and on the color tones. Peach and pink for Vagina Monologues; Bananas and blues for V-Men. Rather than using stock photography, I took photographs of the fruits so it met the idea I had.
