Stööki x Kusama x Louis Vuitton


Stööki curated a fashion playground in collaboration with Japanese pop artist Yayoi Kusama and Louis Vuitton,  hosted at the TATE Modern.

Stööki lead participants through a hands on workshop, adapting kusama’s technique of
pattern, repetition and accumulation.

"The rules of the workshop, was that you illustrate 1 large shape then pass it on to the person next to you. The next step is you create 5 small shapes repeated and pass that on. The last layer was to apply 10 small shapes to your existing design. Once the fabric was illustrated by 3 people, you then customise it into a wearable piece.

At the end of the session they were styled and photographed within a monochromatic, ultraviolet zone.
Which tied in with the theme of the TATE Modern's silent disco.

Live performances in the silent disco were Lapalux, Koreless and Actress who set the tone forthe day.

In the Stööki fashion workshop, participants created a collaborative pattern on fabric, in a fun pass the parcel format. Which was then transformed into a customised, multi-functional, accessory.
They also had the chance to style themselves for the Kusama-rise look-book.

The UV aesthetic placed on the participants, completed the final element of the Silent Disco installation.
