Display : Craft Cluster Initiative

Craft Cluster Initiative is a project undertaken by the third year students at National Institute of Fashion Technology, under the guidance of the faculty, wherein the students cover different crafts pertaining to a particular Indian State.

The state given to our group was Orissa, and we chose to document the beautiful craft of Applique at the Pipli Village.

Display : The process shown through an abstraction of hands and threads, since the craft is strictly done by hands, and employs various stitches.

Display : Five panels that display the origin of the craft, the process, the product and the packaging design.
Display : A beautiful depiction of the deity at Orissa, as well as the origin of the craft, Jagannath Ji.
