While in Pashupatinath, Nepal holiest Hindu place of pilgrimage, I met a lot of Sadhus.
These “holy men” have turned away from all material things. They have only what they carry with them and live on charity.
For a small donation, they are usually willing to pose for a photo ;)))
The Sadhus pave their way to spiritual insight by the use of cannabis in different variants.
As a sign of worship of Shiva, one of the three major deities of Hinduism, they wear long wild dreadlocks, sometimes covered with a headscarf.
The Nepalese people are proud and friendly at all times.
An impressive number of different ethnic groups lives in this multicultural country: some 60 ethnic groups, speaking each its own language or dialect.
Namaste!
