O documentário científico incide sobre os revestimentos exteriores tradicionais e a sua função estética e técnica, constitui uma reflexão sobre o contributo que podemos prestar para a sua preservação, nomeadamente através da aquisição de um saber empírico e científico sustentado, mediante intervenções cuja aplicação de metodologias sejam adequadas à especificidade de cada situação, mediante a promoção de ações de formação com vista à criação de mão-de-obra especializada e mediante a promoção de ações de educação patrimonial para a criação de uma cultura de preservação do património.

Synopsis:
This scientific documentary explains about traditional renders and their aesthetic and technical function and reflects on the ways in which we can help to preserve them, namely by acquiring sustained empirical and scientific knowledge through a variety of means: by applying methodologies that are appropriate to the specific characteristics of each case where we intervene; by promoting training courses that will give us a specialised workforce; and by educating people about their heritage so that their desire to preserve it becomes almost second nature.
