USA Network's Mr. Robot tackles the issues of cyber security, vigilante justice and social connectivity. We were invited to break the mold of USA's promotional style to thrust the audience into a darker, gritter reality. In keeping with Mr. Robot's themes of subversion and disruption, USA's clean, airy designs are overthrown in favor of more daring visual comlexity. Our visual solution involved designing an illuminated environment with projections, glass and light. Directed by Elliott Chaffer at Christopher Webb's Brooklyn studio, the final visuals were a unique blend of organic, in-camera live action and projected show footage and motion graphics.
