This is a Dragon 1:72 sherman mkv tulip used by the Coldstream Guards during ww2 the figures were purchased as a after market extra made by calibre 22 and the base has been scratch built using foam board and plaster. To provide a rough idea of scale the vehicle width is about 35mm and lenght 85mm. The figure heads which are the most prominent feature of each crew are about 2mm width by 3mm length.
Working from a found historical reference photo I replicated this vehicle ideling outside of Berlin during April 1945. The vehicle was airbushed using tamiya acrylics and further weathered using a range of media and varying techniques.
The base was cut to size and added to with a plaster and cat litter mix after drying it was primed and painted appropriately with final grass features added.
This finished model was entered into a local model competition and Im pleased to say placed second in its catergory.
