The Utrecht Bioinformatics Center (UBC) is a center that brings together a large number of internationally leading research groups with a strong bioinformatics component. They are located within Utrecht University, University Medical Center Utrecht and Hubrecht Institute.
The primary aim of the center is to further strengthen and promote bioinformatics research within the life sciences and sustainability domains by coordinating bioinformatics infrastructure, bioinformatics education and bridging bioinformatics expertise. The center also provides (inter)national exposure to the high class data-driven bioinformatics performed in Utrecht.
