Tokyo storefront #02 Tsuruya

The second piece from my ongoing “Tokyo Storefronts” watercolour illustration series. This time, to make some contrast with the previous really colourful meat shop I chose a little bit more industrial building. It is the (former) TSURUYA tailors in Jinbōchō district now a cute antiques and variety shop.
The top round sign - a trademark of this shop was unfortunately already taken down when I got there to take some photos so I had to add it using some old photos I found in the Internet. On one of the photos there was a small chair in front of the shop’s entrance - so peculiar I couldn’t ignore it.

Technical stuff:
Medium: HOLBEIN Waterford white 300g/m cotton paper
Lines: COPIC Multiliner SP 0.7mm
Colours: My watercolours set explained HERE, golden acrylics
