Workshop Module Experience Design Part-II 2016

Experience Design Module Part-II Pearl Academy Mumbai: Class project involved Identifying a problem and providing a solution through experience design to the respective audience considering an appropriate brand for communication/graphics understanding and developing the structure(modular/ installation/ structure) in a appropriate space/area of around 2500 sq.ft. to 3500sq.ft.. Other aspects to be considered, social, cultural, economical and technological issues, sustainable materials technical drawings and research at every step and making of a  prototype.  the class was divided into 4 groups.

Objectives: 
Understanding of creating an Interactive Exhibition design which provides Experience to respective audience,
Understanding to identify Problem and provide solution, concerning social, economical, technological and cultural issues,
Understanding of doing a Research and study at multilevel thus, understanding that Experience design is multi disciplinary, Understanding of developing theoretical concepts and respective structure or form to execute it, along with aesthetics,
Exploration at every stage be it concept, Material, etc.
Developing an understanding of using sustainable materials,
Understanding and importance of technical drawings(plans, layouts, elevations, proportions, scale, views),
Developing Group management skills and Enhancing presentation skills.
Group 1:
Spread Awareness in regards with Hygiene and better environment and living conditions in Dharavi in Mumbai:
Design an interactive Experience design space to give awareness about hygiene and better environment and living conditions to people in Dharavi (considered a slum area) hypothetically as per the research inputs sponsored by Hindustan Unilever.      
Out come:
Designed an experience/exhibition space which would be modular in structure to be put up in Dharavi school play ground area. The structure Design inspired from cane baskets and the philosophy of closely woven communities at Dharavi. A space for set displays exhibiting clean households and how to maintain them, a space for exhibit on how to reuse Junk with major attraction being a bus turned into a gallery displaying the works of people from Dharavi, and other furniture and accessories created from junk, a space for gaming area rewards being discounts and Hindustan Unilever cleaning products, a space for stall to sell products made from junk, other crafts and products of Dharavi small cottage industries at nominal price, a space to perform plays and skits on awareness about hygiene and health.

Group 2:
Spread Awareness about Daily Fitness and promote the use of right fitness gear:
Design an interactive Experience design space to Spread awareness about fitness and respective gears to wear while training among various age groups, hypothetically as per research inputs along with launch of Underarmour brand and respective products in the country.    
Outcome:
Designed an experience/exhibition space structure to be put up at Phoenix Mills open area surrounded with malls and eatery in Mumbai. The design inspired from Brand and its respective Philosophy considering the solution required to promote fitness. An open space with exhibit of the brand footwear range and information, a space for exhibit of brand garment and information, a space to try out various fitness gears and activities, enclosed space to play games created on the basis of fitness. A space for interaction with trainers and queries.

Group3:
Promote Recreation and Enhance Employee performance of Employees in commercial working area: Design an interactive Experience design space to provide recreation, and other activities in order to enhance work performance and health of employees, hypothetically sponsored by Microsoft considering the research.
Outcome:
Designed an experience space structure at the center of BKC work Commercial complex in Mumbai. The entire structure design being inspired from Microsoft brand and Color Philosophy and the respective experience required for the betterment of employees. A space consisting of Games, reading corner, green grass relaxation to pool relaxation. Also, a well devised entry and exit in order to maintain the work hours of an employee.

Group 4:
Generate Amusement and Element of Surprise for the upcoming Movie:
Design an interactive Experience/Exhibition design space to generate amusement and surprise in regards with the launch of Batman vs. Superman movie by DC chosen as per the research. Also, promote more fan following For DC and providing information to people what these characters are all about.
Outcome:
Designed an interactive experience space modular structure at a Mall in the atrium area. The  structure design inspired from the movie and entire notion of Batman vs. Superman. The entire space divided into two parts, one area exhibiting about batman and the other about Superman, centrally connected where the transition stage happens with a photo booth. The concept to have limited entries, entering the exhibit from most preferred side and displaying the count as a Fan tab and inside encountering the Facts such as the story and accessories of respective characters how one associates with them, Surprise elements-projection on wall about the glimpses of the movie, Merchandise exhibits new costume and gears of respective characters in their respective domains, Large size figures of them and other characters associated with them providing navigation.
