Occupy Mary's Attic, poster design. Project 01
Democracy Burlesque's show Occupy Mary's Attic was in tune with the Occupy movement developing in Chicago. This poster is by and for the 99% which, it's featured all over the place as part of the main graphic and as a texture.
The original idea was an itemized list written on the hand, with the world Chicago being crossed out as that was already being done. However, in order not to minimize the movement's importance, this was changed. The lofi printing is consistent with the re-branding strategy. This poster still features a simplified version of the old logo which, in turn, was re-designed.
Democracy Burlesque is a nonprofit sketch comedy group based in Chicago. Funds raised at these performances benefit local charities and other nonprofit groups in Chicago.
