This exploration started with creating a separate mind map of three words: vivid, wallflower, and computer. Combining these with my own life experience led to one word: Recovery, which became the focus of my project. The research process led to the connection between scars and recovery. I decided to use scars as a metaphor to represent hardship that requires time to heal.I constructed a book that includes more stories. The images of scars in this hand-made book are very emotional, and they are the evidence of people’s pasts. A book is a more private object for the audience. They can read slowly and find their own path to recovery.
