Art Commission for BSC Renovation
Description
TCNJ participates in New Jersey’s Arts Inclusion Program and is worked with The New Jersey State Council on the Arts (NJSCA) in the selection and award of an Art commission for the Brower Student Center Renovation. The budget for the commission is typically 1/3 of 1% of the total building project budget.
I organized a 14 person artist selection committee to approve the architect proposed site, guide the preparation of the RFP, set the selection criteria, and shortlist and interview the artists.
The selection process involved:
- Review of 172 Artist resumes submitted on the Café web site
- Shortlisting 10 Artists to prepare proposals
- Bringing 3 Finalists on campus for interviews. Selecting 1 proposal for recommendation to the Board of Trustees.
- Bringing 3 Finalists on campus for interviews. Selecting 1 proposal for recommendation to the Board of Trustees.
