Stressing the importance of looking perfect and flawless, social media has created a world where humans should often look unrealistic and even inhuman in order to be considered beautiful. The truth, however, is that our flaws and imperfections are what make us unique and give us this beauty.
       Rebelling against what has now become the norm of attractiveness accepted by a majority of our society, the subjects in this series are photographed in a primarily natural state, but emphasis is placed on their pores, bumps, and other "imperfections" to direct the viewer's attention to these distinct qualities. By doing this, the subjects' skin becomes a landscape, where the trees and valleys are replaced by equally natural and stunning characteristics common to human flesh.
