This project's requirement was to redesign packaging that does not function well in the retail market. I redesigned the packaging for the OtterBox ® Defender Series ® casebox for iPhone 4S Case, considering it is a wonderfully effective case for consumers who want to keep their phone protected, however the packaging is not functional in the retail market. The packaging constantly falls apart due to customers wanting to try out the product on their phone right in store. I thought packaging should match the products function, where the case has layers of protection for the phone, therefore the packaging should have layers of protection for the product. I designed a box that the customers could try out the case right in store by removing the sleeve to see the case in the plastic box. The sleeve would stay secure to the box during shipping with the yellow magnetic flap in the front.
