Spirogravity
Inspired by an early motion experiment on interlaced cycloids i worked on different approaches to generate flowing spirography. My first approach with Processing turned out to be somewhat bulky cause the graphic was generated pointwise which resulted into too much geometry to be stuffed into a PDF. My second approach with Grasshopper was successful and flexible enough to be applied to several projects. The production process bore some of the excerpts shown below.
