Brief

Along with the quiet street Gällerstagränd, right on the border of Stuvsta residential area, is Vårvetet. Here you will find 17 linked houses, adapted to both nature and environment. Built by Erik Wallin, the accommodation is located just as close to Älvskogens recreation areas as it is to metro and commuter trains.

With its proud gables, Vårvetet reveals a clear motive and silhouette that is easy to recognize. The natural color range of
hoary wood, charcoal accents and dark grey makes the houses blend in with the forest background.
How can we create a visual concept that reflects the spirit of Vårvetet?

Solution

The characteristic position of the Vårvetet windows creates an interesting visual composition. This became the base of our logotype. Inspired by Vårvetets blend of robustness and simplicity we added a bold and clear visual expression to the logotype.
The natural and gray hues of Vårvetet is reflected in our work by a soft contrast between lighter and darker gray. As the leading typeface to this project we used Akkurat. An honest and simple typeface that fits with the architectural concept.
