WHY?
Distraction is one of the biggest problems in traffic. And today we have much more things to distract us, such as smart phone. Smart phone users are so obsessed with their phones that whenever they get a notification they immediately look at it. Unfortunately, being in traffic does not stop them. And looking at phone has a price: missing out on the road.
HOW?
We created Missed Signs to draw attention to the dangers of using mobile phone in traffic. We use the notification icons in a place where drivers never imagined: in real traffic signs.
We started the project in Seferihisar -a popular town among tourists in Aegean side of Turkey- where traffic accidents increased in summer times. We implemented the project to the critical points that we identified with the local police.
