Art Competition for MRT Hoardings
INTRODUCTION
The Downtown Line project is a major new line built in three stages and will serve over half a million passengers per day when completed. The third phase or Downtown Line 3 (DTL3) is a 21 km route with 16 stations which will be finished in 2017.
LTA organized the competition to foster a sense of joint-ownership with the community for this major project. Exhibited prominently at various DTL3 worksites.
Create an original, non-photographic artwork on the theme "Go Places with the Downtown Line". Your work should express one or more of the following points:
• Reflections of leisure and other meaningful activities along DTL3
• How DTL3 will touch and enhance the lives of people living along the line
• How DTL3 benefits commuters
• Capturing the positive emotions of commuters travelling on DTL3
