JWA's 2011-12 ad campaign is centered around communicating the premium travel experience they provide (through a brand new terminal, amenities, dining, etc) by associating themselves with the era (and artwork) of a time in history when travel was, in fact, romantic.
I had the great pleasure of illustrating this ad, which is intentionally suggestive of the now highly collectible vintage Italian travel ads. it first ran in Orange Coast in January, 2012, opposite the table of contents. This project was doubly exciting as it was the first magazine ad I've done with that size and placement.
