Designed for the year 2030 the Full Circle Playground is a glimpse into what I see as the playground of the future. The design embraces technology, encorporating the latest and greatest technological advances to ensure that the playground is safe, fun, and educational. However, the playground doesn’t flaunt the technology, it utilizes it in an intuitive, and responsible way. While much of the equipment children will use in the future will drain electricity, Full Circle encourages play and rewards movement by harnessing the energy created. The playground is meant to give children an outlet, a place to bond and forge friendships, to build a competitive nature and team spirit. It also serves to prove that embracing the future, and embracing technology, does not have to mean being over powered by it.
