Robot Koch’s track “Dark Waves” from his new album Hypermoment was a dream turned into reality. When he approached me and told me the story about how this hauntingly beautiful song appeared to him while asleep one night and when he told me that in this dream he saw the silhouettes of a lonesome surfer paddling in the ocean, I knew this is gonna be the perfect project to provide visuals for. My buddy Ryan Gast, who I knew from Costa Rica and who helped me on Tico Sunrise, dropped everything once I told him about my plans to venture out to the Central Coast of California and shoot this video. Ryan, his pal and surf talent extraordinaire Elijah Bustos, me and the two masterminds behind Breed Surfboards, Bruno Troadec and Gilles delaPointe took off and 4 days later came back with hours of footage for what would become the visualization of a musicians dream.

I have to give major credit to the guys from Watershot Inc. again, who provided me with one of their latest production models of their professional smart phone housing line. By the way, did I mention, that I shot this entirely on my iPhone6s Plus? It’s not the tools that matter, but in this case it was just the most feasible solution to take the iPhone in order to stay within the very slim budget we had.
