Future Schools Technology Conference

The Resource Renewal Project's School Technology Initiative began as a series of Best Practices for schools looking to adopt technology in their classrooms. A 48-page, proprietary Best Practices and Policies document was developed, with a 4-page Strategic Objectives summary. The initiative proved popular enough to hold regional meetings around Chicago to bring client locations together to discuss strategy and planning.
In conjunction with members and vendors, a conference for professional development and knowledge-sharing was planned. Promotional materials were required before the program was finalized, including flyers for distribution at events, print advertising, and a postcard mailed to school leaders across northern Illinois.
The program book presented the day's schedule in multiple formats to help facilitate wayfinding and schedule-planning for attendees. Breakout rooms were color-coded in the program and on signage to further help guide the way.
Color-coded room signage was matched to the program categories, and those colors were also applied to the badges of those who would be presenting in each room.
