IR Brand Identity

Branding
IR is a tech company with a product called Prognosis. It’s designed to make IT systems simpler, but the thing is, the product and the problems it solves are pretty complicated.

In a nutshell, Prognosis is a piece of software that improves the systems that underpin our enterprises, workplaces and everyday lives. It helps call centres maintain good voice quality, payment technology (like PayPass) run smoothly and can even prevent hackers from accessing your details.

Our intention was to tell a clearer story of optimisation. Using a metaphor to turn complex case studies into simple stories, we gave IR a visual language of dots and dashes to show things that are optimal and things that aren't. The new brand uses wit, humour and tech references to communicate in a way that's straightforward, entertaining and, most importantly, optimal.

I really enjoyed working on this brand as it was one of those projects where the motion informed the design, just as much as the design informed the motion. The motion really helped bring the new brand to life and demonstrate the infinite possibilities that could be used across design, digital and motion collateral.

With their new optimised identity, IR can explain what they do more easily, so more people can benefit from everything they offer.

I was also delighted that this project was awarded a D&AD graphite pencil.
