Using whitespace, I designed this poster showing that the Old Dominion band was going to be playing at a local bar in Marshall, MI. Keeping in mind that the Old Dominion is a county band, I decided to use the guitar as the symbol to represent them; as well as typesetting their name within the guitar to label who the band was. Using the solid lines of the letters ("L, D, M, I, N), I decided to make those a little thicker to symbolize the frets on the neck of the guitar.
