For this project I explored the concept of marketing strategies and how they can be formed and situated to introduce a new brand. The brand I have created is MIX, which is targeted at the Auckland market. The idea of MIX came about by combining different ideas. MIX was formed by taking aspects from different and current trends which are: customisation, 3D printing and social media marketing. I explored and broke down these trends into concepts and forms that could relate and translate to what I needed to produce. As a result of this, each trend helped influence and create all aspects of MIX. This combination of trends created a portable customisable interactive drinks brand, situated for the Auckland market.

MIX believes that drinks shouldn’t be limited to one flavour or style. Drinks should be able to reflect what the consumer wants at that exact moment, therefore MIX was born. MIX is a portable, customisable and interactive experience that allows consumers to select and combine a range of different drink flavours, in order to create their own new mix. By creating their own mix, they have not only the option of ordering it to instantly taste, from one of MIX’s portable vans, but also the opportunity to share. Consumers can share or recommend their mixes to friends through the platform of social media, so that they can also give the mix a try. Because of our variety of flavours there are countless combinations of mixes to suit all different tastes. Our flavour range is dynamic as we keep up to date with current trends. By creating their own mix, consumers help build the brand, as their participation makes MIX more unique.
